This reverts commit c06d7950f1b97abf510bc70bd2a2b0445e8d36f2, reversing changes made to 4c25fbe338212f498a34d2a9b4c2072ac96c0e31. See https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/issues/41608
To build the manual, you need Nix installed on your system (no need
for NixOS). To install Nix, follow the instructions at
https://nixos.org/nix/download.html
When you have Nix on your system, in the root directory of the project
(i.e., `nixpkgs`), run:
nix-build nixos/release.nix -A manual.x86_64-linux
When this command successfully finishes, it will tell you where the
manual got generated.
