It produces an error:

In line with the Nixpkgs manual.
A mechanical change, done with this command:
find pkgs -name "*.nix" | \
while read f; do \
sed -e 's/description\s*=\s*"\([a-z]\)/description = "\u\1/' -i "$f"; \
done
I manually skipped some:
* Descriptions starting with an abbreviation, a user name or package name
* Frequently generated expressions (haskell-packages.nix)
By default all plugins from pkgs.gimpPlugins set are enabled.
Default location of plugins changed from $out/${gimp.name} to
$out/lib/gimp/${majorVersion}. Resulting derivation for gimp+plugins
is set as search path for plugins by default (additional tweaking in
gimprc done for old plugin scheme should be removed)
This reverts commit f61176c5396ed513f3d399f73f38ab78a066667f, reversing
changes made to a27ca029ee2b39e04d7d2a516a7228f4b62067fb.
Conflicts:
pkgs/development/libraries/ncurses/default.nix
Many (less easily automatically converted) old-style strings
remain.
Where there was any possible ambiguity about the exact version or
variant intended, nothing was changed. IANAL, nor a search robot.
Use `with stdenv.lib` wherever it makes sense.
- Unify the "single" and "float" variants, which are the same thing.
- Enable threads and openmp wrapper by default (they are very small).
- Don't use sse on i686, as I'm quite sure we have no warrant for that.
Cf. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pentium_Pro
- Disable static libs (big, no indication we need them).
- I tested most builds using fftw (they build OK).
