I. Introduction
A) Unlike men, women have been facing unique problems since the
beginning of the human race.
B) In RAiSE THE RED LANTERN, THE HANDMAID'S TALE, and A DOLL'S HOUSE,
the female characters find ways to escape their problems rather
than face them.
II. Songlian, the main character in RAiSE THE RED LANTERN, finds different
means of avoiding oppression.
