When you are asked a question, answer with Y for yes, or N for no.
WHEN THE SYSTEM IS TYPING TO YOU, , you can press S or control-S to stop the<68>

[Want to know purpose of this system
It was conceived, financed, and is run by Ward Christensen and Randy Suess for<6F>
message communication between computer hobbyists. Typical message subjects<74>
include: 'something for sale', 'need help with something', 'club meeting<6E>
notice', etc. Feel free to leave a message on any hobbyist computer related<65>
subject. Commercial 'ads' ARE permitted, providing they are hobbyist related.

[Want to know what hardware makes up the system
The hardware consists of: (as of 2/87)
- PC clone mother board 640K
- V-20 to emulate 8080
- 360K floppy
- ST225 20M hard disk (yes, barely being used)
- Clone CGA adapter
- Zenith mono monitor
- Intel above-board-PC with 1.5M memory, serial, parallel, clock.
- Everex 20M cartridge tape drive
- US Robotics Courier 2400 modem
- One State of Illinois "CBBS" license plate
... All artistically mounted on a 2' x 4' piece of particle board -NO CASE.

[Want a quick summary of what to do your first time
1. O - Use the O function to retrieve (O)ne-line message summaries
(or Q for quick (subject only) summaries)
* When prompted for a starting message number, use -50
to start 50 back from the highest message on CBBS.
* Use control-S to stop/start output.
* Every time you see a message of interest, press return,
and key in its message number (or numbers separated by ;)
* Let the summary complete, or Press control-K to return to menu
2. R - Use R function to retrieve messages of interest, IF you missed
them with the "hit return" flagging above.
3. G - Use the G (Good bye) function when you are done.
