Lessons in Faith - 2 ----------------
"Mom, why do we have go to church?"
"We go to church to pray and worship God!"
"But we can do that at home. I say my prayers before I go to
bed, and Dad thanks God for food before supper."
"At church we have fellowship with other people who <20>believe
in God."
"What is 'fellowship'?"
"Fellowship is caring about other believers and sharing news
about what God has done."
"Is that like when I told my friend about Jesus?"
"Not quite, <20>that is called witnessing. <20>Fellowship is <20>more
like <20>going to a party where everyone knows your name, <20><>everyone
believes <20>in God and his son Jesus, <20>and everyone is always ready
and <20>happy to help you in any way. <20>Everyone cares about what <20>is
happening <20>in your life, <20>and is ready to listen if you <20>need <20>to
talk, <20><>and ready to pray with you about your or <20>someone <20>else's
needs."
"That <20>sounds like the Bible study you have here on Tuesdays
with all those ladies!"
"That's right! <20>We all share God in common, <20>and are <20>always
ready to share him and what he has done!"
"My teacher in Sunday School always asks 'What did God do in
your <20>life this past week?' <20>Once Joey said that God gave him <20>an
'A' on his math quiz!"
"Your Sunday School class is a fellowship!"
"Mom, is fellowshiping important?"
"Yes. <20>Without fellowship, <20>a <20>believer might start to <20>feel
alone in the world. <20>Believers need to share, to know that God is
working in our, and other people's lives."
"Mom, <20><>I <20><>know it's Friday, <20>but could we go to church <20>to
fellowship now?"
