69      I don't believe that a person can judge human nature by only pointing to
70 a specific person or group of people. Your example of the average teenager 
71 could easily be countered with 'lack of experiential data on how to deal with
72 conflict situations', or 'inability to negotiate due to lack of maturity' or
73 some other drivel equally debatable.
74      My view is split. On a biological level, I believe that we pretty much 
75 have the same flight-or-fight patterns that you see in all the higher primates.
76 When you go into areas of sociology or psychology for the answer, the path
77 becomes more intune with philosophy or religion. There is no quantitative test
78 for 'good' or 'evil'. A person's sense of these factors is social. In our 
79 culture cannabalism is strictly taboo. In some South American cultures the
80 dead are honored by having bones their ground-up and made into soup! Which
81 of these exemplifies the good side of human and which the bad? Well both and 
82 neither. The South American would probably quite amazed that we do not 'honor'
83 our dead, but I doubt that I would serve up my grandmother for Sunday brunch.
84 I think that a person's view of the 'goodness' or 'badness' of human nature
85 depends more on the individual's outlook on life more than anything. I haven't
86 meet any optimistic people that feel that other people are inherently bad, but
87 I have met a lot of people the think the life is a bitch, and that everyone 
88 else are real bastards. I like to count myself in the first group. Granted,
89 there are alot of problems to deal with, and a alot of things that just plain
90 piss me off. But, these are not, I believe, inbred flaws in human nature.
91 They are mostly transitory in nature and will, with time, be reconciled (of
92 course to be replaced by problems we can't even imagine yet).

108 Regarding the chips, the only place I've been informed of availability is

119 advice, you could make what mistakes you wanted and if anyone complained,

122 On the other hand, if you properly apply the suggestions, your writing will

128     I don't know what chips your looking for, but I would suggest you
129 call Hamilton-Avnet. They do a very brisk business in problem chips and

162   Well, the old milch cow has replicowed.  The new arrival is somewhat unsteady

185 QuizMaster : I look at it with a philosophical eye. What is victory?  Can it
186 merely be equated with some abusrd quantum such as number of pie pieces? Can
187 you say with any conviction that to win is everything, ergo losing is nothing?
188 I think not, and in my current frame of mind, bending far from that needed to
189 extract small facts from deep within my memory, winning and losing seem to
190 meld into one ambigious thought. The current state of affairs point to a far
191 more important activity. While winning and losing have lost some of their
192 luster, playing has grown in importance. I submit a small rewrite of the old
193 cliche': "It's not whether you win or lose, it's IF you play the game."

205 Mikey - Radar no longer carries such items.  I was there a couple of weeks
206 ago looking for 74LS02, 20, and 373.  They only had the 02, which they Gave
207 to me since they were clearing them out.  I hate to drive to Beaverton since
208 my car is unreliable, gets 13 mpg, and is so loud it often attracts unwanted

222 respond to any given situation. The term "most people" will certainly get me in
223 trouble here, because BW goers are NOT at all normal. Case in point, I was 
224 driving home last night at about 4A.M. from downtown portland and found a lady 
225 and her kid stranded on the side of the road, this was on I84, so it was kind of
226 hard to stop and go back. I had every intention of doing so when I saw what 
227 appeared to be the cars driver walking along the side of the road with a gas can
228 . This time I was able to stop and gave her a ride back to the car, helped her 
229 fix her car and get running again. All fine and dandy fut when I left I saw her
230 get out and start pounding on the hood and yell what I am sure were not nice 
231 things. Why did she do this? why not get going and look upon it as a learning
232 experience to keep her car in shape? Violence is human nature. Some of us can 
233 rise above it most of the time, but it is still human nature. This applies to 
234 everyone.

341 time round.  What I thought at first glance was a baby bull's equipment was
342 a knot of fur.  Now that the waterworks are working, that misconception has
343 been alleviated.  My daughter has officially announced that the name of the
344 calf will be Sweetmeat.  I must choose what the calf's destiny will be --
