The Ven-Tel 2400 Plus II External Modem provides 2400 bps
|
|||
|
|
data transmission over both dial-up and leased lines. Fully
|
|||
|
|
compatible with the industry standard AT command set, it offers
|
|||
|
|
three levels of security and supports MNP Levels 2, 3, and 4
|
|||
|
|
error correction. In addition, it provides MNP Level 5 data
|
|||
|
|
compression allowing throughput up to 4800 bps.

FULL FEATURED MODEM
|
|||
|

|
|
The 2400 Plus II External Modem provides all of the features
|
|||
|
|
needed to accommodate even the most sophisticated applications.
|
|||
|
|
Offering full duplex communication at 2400 bps, 1200 bps, and 300
|
|||
|
|
bps, it permits transmission over two-wire dial-up or leased
|
|||
|
|
lines and supports both synchronous and asynchronous operation.
|
|||
|
|
Designed according to CCITT V.22bis specifications, it also
|
|||
|
|
supports CCITT V.22, Bell 212A, 103 and 113.
|
|||
|
|

PREVENTS UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS
|
|||
|
|
|
|||
|
|
Access security restricts remote modem users from accessing
|
|||
|
|
the local area network (LAN) or local PC, reducing the
|
|||
|
|
possibility of compromising confidential data or uploading
|
|||
|
|
damaging files. Three user access levels of security are
|
|||
|
|
provided - Callback, Programmed Callback, and PassThrough Access
|
|||
|
|
- as well as local and remote security supervisor access. All
|
|||
|
|
remote user names, passwords, and callback numbers are stored in
|
|||
|
|
the non-volatile memory of the 2400 Plus II.

REMOTELY CONFIGURE THE 2400 PLUS II
|
|||
|
|
|
|||
|
|
Ven-Tel's proprietary Remote Options Access and Downloading
|
|||
|
|
(R.O.A.D) enables access and reconfiguration of the 2400 Plus II
|
|||
|
|
from any location, providing optimum control of the network.
|
|||
|
|
Through R.O.A.D access, configuration issues may be easily solved
|
|||
|
|
with a simple phone call.
|
|||
|
|
|
|||
|
|
ERROR CORRECTION GUARANTEES ACCURATE TRANSMISSION
|
|||
|
|
|
|||
|
|
The 2400 Plus II provides error correction using MNP Levels
|
|||
|
|
2, 3, and 4 and is compatible with the international error
|
|||
|
|
correction standard V.42. Therefore, 100% accuracy is assured
|
|||
|
|
whether transmitting over normal or poor line conditions.
|
|||
|
|
|

DATA COMPRESSION SAVES TIME AND MONEY
|
|||
|
|
|
|||
|
|
With MNP Level 5 data compression, the 2400 Plus II offers
|
|||
|
|
throughput up to 4800 bps. Transmission time is significantly
|
|||
|
|
reduced, resulting in lower telephone line charges.
